Critical

This project was a blast!

When I first thought about the theme "three," the first thing that came to mind was a critical moment in a battle RPG where you only have 3 HP left against a dangerous enemy. I also managed to slip in a lot of other 3's, from the trident weapon, the robot's 3 eyes, and a few more!

I wanted this piece to lean into my strengths in pixel art, which I think are rendering very large portraits. While I've never drawn a robot before, I hope that those skills were able to read on this piece!

The robot's design was  inspired by the cover art for Bear Ghost's "Tiny Hitman" album. The hero's design is an OC of mine. I also took a lot of inspiration from the game Great Greed due to their amazing large portraiture!
